I’ll be dropping into Trafó Gallery in Budapest via Zoom on Wednesday night to give a short talk on acid, in response to the marvellous zine put together by T+U, which they are launching on the night.
More info below. Be sure to check out T+U’s website here.
T+U vol. VI. ACIDMagazine launch at Trafó Gallery
22. 12. 2021, 18 – 22h, 1094 Budapest, Liliom u. 41“Psychonauts of the world, unite!”
From this Christmas on, when you think about acid it won’t be heartburn and reflux problems caused by the fish soup, stuffed cabbage and bejgli that comes to your mind. Technologie und das Unheimliche’s (T+U) latest „ACID” themed issue brings acid’s political and cultural allegory under the christmas tree. T+U’s publication vol. VI. ACID celebrates the revolution of acidification and its molecular apotheosis instead of the existing order of the alkaline moorland. Accordingly, to celebrate the launch of the new issue we will be tripping together in the form of an all night event where different artistic formats (musical improvisations, presentations, readings and performances) will organically dissolve into each other. Thus: “all that is solid melts into” the Big Cosmic Acid.
The ritual acidification sessions will be conducted by:
• 12z (Márton Kristóf, Áron Porteleki & Bálint Szabó)
• Matt Colquhoun (UK)
• Maria Jančová (SK) & Václav Janoščík (CZ)
• T+UThe event can only be visited with a vaccination card and it is mandatory to wear a mask!
