It feels strange being home for Christmas after so many months down in Wales. Glad for the break though. This week’s task is going to be to finish off ATP photos and get them up on here.

You may or may not remember me mentioning that I was making the cover art for the new White Pilots single over the summer. Well, it’s here and you can now buy it on iTunes.
Here it is. I’d recommend picking your own soundtrack when watching the first video. The good thing is it will go with just about anything.
In collaboration with Jason Evans, this short film was made to be a backdrop for a short interlude during the Caribou Vibration Ensemble’s set at ATP Nightmare Before Christmas on Sunday 11th December 2011.
During the interlude, the members of Caribou left the stage leaving the rest of the ensemble – including Kieran ‘Four Tet’ Hebden, James Holden, Ahmed Gallab, Marshall Allen of the Sun Ra Arkestra and a 4-piece horn section – to play. The video began at this point and lasted the entirety of the 10 minute interlude.
Watch this space for other photos and videos taken over the ATP weekend.

With All Tomorrow’s Parties fast approaching, we’re finally sorting out the photos that we want to give out at the festival. Information was passed down and one of the festivals organisers really loved the idea of a photo swap, thinking that there should be more photography at ATP.
For the next ATP — possibly in March, curated by Jeff Mangum — we will try and do something more official. But, for now, with just one day to go, we’ve quickly (and cheaply) started printing and organising little brown envelopes of photographs to hand out at random over the weekend.

A very exciting new project today.
In two weeks time it is Nightmare Before Christmas, the ATP Festival in Minehead curated by Battles, Les Savy Fav and Caribou. Jason, who’s doing the art directing for the Sunday — the Caribou-curated day — asked us to help him make a short experimental film to be used as a backdrop / light show for the Sunday performance by the Caribou Ensemble.
I’ve got a lot to go through and edit before the big day on December 11th, but here’s a little something for now.
